Joelle
Joelle’s tenure with Dentistry on Sherbrooke actually exceeds that of Dr. Vander Velden by 6 months, having been hired as a Certified Dental Assistant by his predecessor Dr. Nelson in 1994! She has been Dr. Vander Velden’s primary chairside assistant for over 25 years. Joelle’s experience, knowledge and composure make her an indispensable member of our team. Born and raised in Peterborough, Joelle and her husband are kept busy with their 3 children. When not at the rink, she enjoys time at the gym and life at the cottage.

Julia Smith
We happily welcomed Julia back to the Dentistry on Sherbrooke family in 2022 as a part time receptionist. Long time patients will recall that she previously worked as a hygienist in the practice for over 20 years prior to retiring her scalers in 2017. Julia’s cheerfulness and quick wit contribute greatly to our happy workplace environment.

Lindsay
Lindsay is the newest member of our team, having joined us in August 2019. Dentistry has been part of Lindsay’s life since birth- her father is a retired dentist in Calgary! With 15 years of experience as a Level II Certified Dental Assistant, Lindsay brings a calming proficiency to the chairside. Lindsay works alongside Dr. Fulford as her primary assistant.

Maranda
Part of our team since 2017, Maranda brings a steady hand to the fast-paced environment of the front desk. Her friendly, professional demeanour and the extensive customer service experience accumulated over her 16 years in the dental field are on display every day in her role as Dental Receptionist. In her spare time she loves travelling, music, camping and spending time with her husband and young daughter.
